Ljubljana, Slovenia – February 2025 – The artistic voices of young people resonated powerfully on Sunday, February 9, at the biennial gathering of Slovenian youth choirs, held at the Salesian Shrine of Ljubljana-Rakovnik. The event, organized by the Salesian Youth Ministry Office, brought together 21 choirs from various parishes, totaling 280 young singers.

Under the direction of choir conductor Ms. Polona Stegu, the united choirs enriched the Mass, presided over by Fr. Matevž Mehle, Director of the Slovenian Interdiocesan Youth Office, and concelebrated by the Provincial of the Slovenian Salesian Province (SLO), Fr. Peter Končan, along with other Salesians and diocesan priests.

At the end of the gathering, the choir performed the Salesian Youth Movement Hymn, "Siamo noi Don Bosco," (We are Don Bosco) for the first time in Slovenian. The video of the hymn is available on the YouTube channel "Don Bosko Slovenija" at this link, along with other musical performances.
