(ANS - Rome) - "Knowing Salesian Religious Brothers. A Collection of documents on the Salesian Coadjutor" is a collection published in 5 volumes by the Salesian University Library (LAS - Libreria Ateneo Salesiano – UPS - Rome), edited by the Br Marco Bay SDB and prsented at the end of June 2023 at Valdocco to the Rector Major and his Councillors and collaborators.
Florence, Italy - October 2023 - The National Assembly of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) of Italy was held from 20 to 22 October. For the participants, guided by the Holy Spirit, it was an opportunity for discussion, study, prayer, fraternity and sharing. The work followed the synodal method: recognize, interpret and choose, in order to better prepare the pastoral proposal of the SYM for the next triennium.
(ANS - Rome) - He would have had an excellent chance to successfully pursue studies in medicine at university, with a scholarship already prepared for the occasion. Instead - at the end of his Higher Secondary studies - he felt the religious call, became a Salesian... with assignments of increasing responsibility until in 2014 when he was chosen as the 10th successor of Don Bosco, one of the most beloved of saints. Today Fr Ángel Fernández Artime is also a Cardinal of the Holy Roman Church.
(ANS - Legnano) - On the 97th World Missionary Day, celebrated on Sunday 22 October 2023, the city of Legnano, on the outskirts of Milan, the birthplace of the Salesian Venerable Fr Carlo Crespi, remembered and proposed the missionary testimony of its illustrious son. Born in the town in Lombardy on 29 May 1891, Carlo Crespi matured his Salesian and missionary vocation that led him 100 years ago, in 1923, to Ecuador. He lived an intense and committed life of ministry for sixty years as a missionary, scientist, musician, apostle of the poor and of mercy.
(ANS - Rome) - The international Salesian community of students of theology, "Zeffirino Namuncurá", in via della Bufalotta 550 in Rome, experienced a memorable evening on Friday, 20 October, 2023 at conclusion of the first of the cultural fest organized by the community to celebrate and enhance its international dimension, as it received a surprise visit from the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, the newly appointed Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime.
(ANS - Rome) - On Friday, 20 October 2023, the Salesian network 'Don Bosco Tech Europe' (DB Tech Europe) was inaugurated at the Grand Hotel Palatino in Via Cavour, Rome, in the presence of over 100 people and the presence of Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.

United States – CATHOLIC WORLD DAY OF THE SICK: Salesian Missions highlights medical programs for people in need around the globe
(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins Catholic organizations around the globe in honoring the Catholic World Day of the Sick. Every year on Feb. 11, the Pope marks the day with a special message calling for spiritual and physical closeness to all those who are ill. Saint John Paul II instituted the day “to encourage the people of God, Catholic health institutions and civil society to be increasingly attentive to the sick and to those who care for them.”
