(ANS - Foggia) - In Foggia – a city which according to the latest ranking drawn up by the Italian financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore is the worst for the well-being of children - the Salesians are present with a work that includes a parish, the oratory and the “Sacro Cuore” association; it will soon also host a family home. Due to the forthcoming opening of this new structure designed in favor of the most disadvantaged minors, a conference entitled: "Child educational poverty: reflections and experiences" is scheduled for this Friday 16; on Saturday, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, accompanied by the Councilor for the Mediterranean Region, Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, will visit and bless the new family home called “Casa Gio”.
Rimini, Italy - June 2021 - At the Salesian community in Rimini the National Secretariat of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) met from 25 to 27 June. After a careful review of the year's activities, the "Work Book" and the new "SYM Idea" were taken into consideration, the guiding thread of the journey of the next pastoral year. Then the success of the tender announcement for the new SYM logo that the next consultation shall have to choose, and the social proposals followed by thousands of young people on Facebook and Instagram were highlighted. Also, the SYM Assembly was prepared and is to be held in October on next year's theme: "Beloved and called - make yourself humble, strong and robust!". To see how the passion to bring God's love to young people in so many oratories and schools has found new creative forms has, indeed, done much good; everyone looks forward to the paths of many young people slowed down by pandemic restrictions resuming.
