Catania, Italy - August 2021 - The first edition of the “Joga Bonito” camp took place from 29 July to 1 August, always in compliance with the anti-Covid-19 regulations. Organized by the Salesian Youth Movement of Sicily in collaboration with the Salesian Youth Sports Clubs (PGS) of Sicily, the initiative took place at the "Colonia Don Bosco" in Catania, and saw the participation of 21 high school children, who followed a double itinerary: formation and sports. The formative part saw the children reflect on the figure of David and took place through meetings and activities, then concluded by a penitential liturgy and Mass presided over by Fr Franco Di Natale, Vicar of the Salesian Province of Sicily. Sports prevailed in the outdoor field with training sessions prepared by three PGS technicians, featuring mini-tournaments of football tennis, table football, table tennis and a quadrangular tournament on the last night, starting at 11.00 pm and ending around 7.00 the next morning. The initiative was fully experienced and enjoyed by all.
(ANS - Turin) - The "Museo Casa Don Bosco House Museum", a museum strongly desired by the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, located in the heart of Turin-Valdocco, and inaugurated by him last October, is increasingly assuming its role as custodian and promoter of the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Salesian Family, and at the same time it also enhances its dimension of service to art and artistic fruition for the territory. An expression of all this is the inauguration of a space dedicated to the Saints and Blessed of the Salesian Family, and the exhibition "Lock art - Journey across the world via living room and kitchen", two events already scheduled from the beginning of next month.
