(ANS - Genoa) - In this 2022 full of anniversaries for the Salesian Congregation, starting with the 400th anniversary of the death of Don Bosco's inspirer, St. Francis de Sales, the 150th anniversary of the Salesian presence in Genoa-Sampierdarena also deserves to be remembered. For the occasion, the Salesian house, one of the symbolic works of the Sons of Don Bosco, deeply rooted in the territory and also very committed to the service of the most needy, has prepared a rich program of initiatives, which will be articulated throughout the year, and that already opens this weekend, with some important appointments chaired by distinguished guests.

(ANS - Rome) - On Monday, January 24, the Feast Day of St. Francis de Sales, patron saint of the Salesian Family, the first of the podcasts in the series "Terra 2030" was published on the Spotify platform. The podcast was created by the Italian Federation of Past Pupils of Don Bosco as part of the activities undertaken by joining the international movement "Don Bosco Green Alliance".

(ANS - Rome) - The Salesian Congregation and the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) announce the International Convention dedicated to "St. Francis de Sales: Posterity - Spirituality - Pedagogy", which will take place from 18 to 20 November 2022 at UPS, in Rome. Four hundred years after the death of this great saint, which occurred in Lyon on December 28, 1622, the conference intends to offer a contribution to the study of his life, his works, and the influence of his thought and spirituality.

Turin, Italy - January 2022 - The video of the song "Il Cuore parla al cuore" (The Heart Speaks to the heart), a hymn written and set to music by Fr Maurizio Palazzo, responsible for the musical activities of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, is now available. The song, desired by the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, refers to the Strenna's theme: "Do everything through love, nothing through constraint". The stanzas of the song take up, in order, various characteristics of the profile of St. Francis de Sales: the primacy of love toward God; the sense of trusting abandonment to Providence; the meekness that gives peace, modeled on the Lord's charity; and the courageous zeal of the apostle.

(ANS - Turin) - From the 16th to the 22nd of January, the Meeting of the Delegates of the Salesian Family took place in Turin-Valdocco, the cradle of the Salesian charism, as part of the program of animation and accompaniment dedicated to them. As is typical of every appointment involving the members of this great religious family inspired by the Saint of Youth, Don Bosco - who in turn was inspired by the Saint of Sweetness, St. Francis de Sales - the entire week of appointments was characterized by an atmosphere of great fraternity and by the shared awareness of being co-responsible for a great gift.
