(ANS – Rome) – With less than a week to go before the 2024 Communication Conference "SHAPING TOMORROW" – which will take place from 1 to 7 August 2024 at the facilities of the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome – the Social Communication Sector is relaunching advice that is very current and certainly necessary to prepare for the conference with the right attitude: "Do not be afraid of new technologies!"
(ANS - Rome) Talking about a new era sometimes frightens Church people, while other times it fascinates them. A new phase of history means a change in thinking, acting, planning and evangelising. Each new era introduces distinct processes and innovative tools linked to the modernisation of communication and the transformation of the entire culture. Some communication structures are relaxing, others are crystallising, even in the Church, while the public is acquiring unprecedented skills and presents increasingly innovative expectations.
(ANS – Rome) – Artificial Intelligence (AI) is very much a trending topic nowadays: many people talk about it, although not always all with the same competence. For this reason, in preparation for the 2024 Communication Conference "SHAPING TOMORROW" which will take place from 1 to 7 August 2024 at the facilities of the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome, the Social Communication Sector has prepared an agile tool in the shape of 10 question-answer exchanges to help understand the terms of the issue.
(ANS – Rome) – Gen X, Gen Y, Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Gen C are all terms that have now entered our daily lexicon. Trying to understand the differences between these categories, however, can generate confusion. Fr Maciej Makuła, SDB, a member of the Social Communication Sector, has catalogued the various generations and their different ways of approaching the world of communication. He presents an accurate examination of this topic in preparation for the 2024 Communication Conference "SHAPING TOMORROW", which will take place from 1 to 7 August 2024 at the facilities of the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome.
(ANS – Rome) – In the last decade social media have become islands of evangelisation where more and more initiatives are flourishing. And, at the same time, new technologies are paving the way for innovative forms of communication, helping to influence evangelisation in uncharted waters. Younger generations are naturally becoming familiar with the possibilities that digital communication offers and are increasingly becoming key players through their concrete actions.
(ANS) - In our digital world, data is the bread and butter of life, often preceding information in importance. The accurate interpretation of data has made the use of various statistics widespread and popular. Ahead of the Communication 2024 Conference "SHAPING TOMORROW," which will be held from August 1 to 7, 2024, at the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) in Rome, the Sector for Social Communication presents some intriguing statistics about the Internet and social networks.

RMG – 100 years of Salesian holiness in the shadow of Mary: 8 September 2024 in Slovenia and Slovakia
(ANS – Rome) – Don Bosco was a great lover of Our Lady and the "thread" of her strong and discreet presence as a mother, teacher and helper, never failed for each of her children. It is therefore not surprising that so much Salesian holiness is also interwoven with very deep bonds with Mary: every Servant of God, every Blessed and Saint of the Salesian Family has a special, sometimes all-encompassing bond with her, as it was for Fr Silvio Galli, SDB, or Sister Antonietta Böhm, FMA. This 2024 is also marked by two anniversaries directly connected to some figures of Salesian holiness: those of the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Raknovik, Ljubljana, consecrated on 8 September 1924, and that of the arrival in 1924 of the Salesians at the national Marian Shrine in Šaštín, Slovakia, dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows.
