(ANS - Damascus) - In two video-documentaries the Salesians of the Middle East have brought together their experiences in Syria in recent years, particularly in the oratories of Damascus, Kafroun and Aleppo, and in Lebanon, in the oratory of El Hessoun and in the Al Fidar Vocational Training Center.

(ANS - Luanda) - “Dear friends, we've arrived in Luanda, the capital of Angola. It's very hot and, near the sea, it's also humid.” Thus began the diary entry of the President of Missioni Don Bosco, Giampietro Pettenon, SDB, who narrates his missionary journey to Angola where the Salesians first arrived in the 80s, answering the appeal of the Rector Major of the time, Fr Egidio Viganò. Today in Angola there are 110 Salesians, of whom 40 are active in pastoral ministry and 70 in initial formation.

(ANS - Schio) - During his recent Animation Visit to the Province of Northeast Italy (INE), the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, participated in a moment of prayer at the Salesian center in Schio, the birthplace of Fr Luigi Bolla, the great Salesian missionary among the natives of the Amazon rainforest. It was a simple celebration, carried out where the Lord first made his summons to the young Luigi, and which had the honor of remembering that the Salesian Family does not proceed through large buildings, but by the presence of Salesians who consume and dedicate themselves to those who are marginalized.
