(ANS) – A webinar on the production of short films was held on Thursday 25 June to encourage young people from the communities and works of the Salesian Sacred Heart of Jesus Province of Ecuador (ECU) to participate in the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival (DBGYFF), the international youth film festival promoted by the Salesian Congregation. This event was attended by Cristina Naranjo, a professor at the Salesian Polytechnic University based in Quito, who has extensive experience in the production of audiovisual products.
(ANS) – On 26 and 27 June, in fully digital mode, the Salesian Network Brazil (RSB) held its Second National Communication Meeting (ENAC, in Portuguese). This year's theme was: "From dream to reality: towards a full presence" and attracted more than 400 participants, including communicators, managers and educators from all RSB centres.
(ANS – Vatican City) – On the occasion of the Ordinary Consistory for the canonisation of numerous Blesseds, which was held on 1 July 2024 in the Vatican, the canonisation, on Sunday 20 October 2024, on the occasion of World Mission Day, of Blessed Joseph Allamano, founder of the Missionaries of the Consolata, was also announced.
(ANS – Monrovia) – There was great joy at the Solemnity of the Saints Peter and Paul, June 29, in the Central Prison in Monrovia, the capital city of Liberia (West Africa). The time without a sports facility is finally over. Thanks to the Salesians of Don Bosco, the multifunctional sports facility was built in the middle of the prison within six months. On this occasion, the festival community first met in the prison chapel for the Eucharist celebration.
(ANS – Daejeon) – “Let us all join hands and dream of eternal dreams...! Let us all join hands and dream of you and me...!”. As the sweet yet powerful theme song rings out, a beautiful faith journey is underway, created with youth’s ideas that are beyond our imagination. At the Salesian Educational Pastoral Center in Jeonglim-dong, Daejeon, for three days and two nights from the 28-30 June, 116 young people of both sexes (55 males and 61 females) enjoyed the Salesian Youth Days.
(ANS – Chennai) – “Don Bosco Institute of Communication Arts” (DBICA), Chennai, has been making significant contributions in the media domain in the last quarter century and more. As it continues to march forward another milestone has been created through a short documentary film titled “BENO ZEPHINE” released on Thursday, 27th June.
