(ANS – Rome) – Expectation is growing and work is continuing for the third edition of the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival (DBGYFF), the Salesian international youth film festival, dedicated this year to encouraging young people around the world to contribute through their short films in building up a world greener and sustainable, under the theme of the festival "I Have a Dream - Youth and climate change - Making Mother Earth cleaner and greener". With almost a month to go before the deadline for the submission of the films, in the various continents and in the different Salesian Regions the young people are creating or already completing their creative works, to then be submitted to the evaluation of the juries in search of the final victory.
(ANS – Vatican City) – As announced by the Holy See Press Office, Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of Cardinal Baltazar Enrique Porras Cardozo from the pastoral governance of the Archdiocese of Caracas in Venezuela and has appointed Mons. Raúl Biord Castillo SDB, currently the Bishop of the Diocese of La Guaira, as the new Metropolitan Archbishop of the same Archdiocese.
(ANS – Lungi) – More than 200 children and adolescents from Sierra Leone are participating in the project of socio-sports schools that the "Fundación Real Madrid" and "Misiones Salesianas", the Salesian Mission Office based in Madrid, are developing in the city of Lungi. Through the practice of football, basketball and volleyball, and with the support and psychological and social accompaniment of professional educators, children between the ages of 5 and 17 learn values, healthy hygiene and health habits, while at the same time improving their school performance, in healthy and vivifying environments permeated by the Don Bosco Preventive System.
