(ANS – Sao Paulo) – The 16th edition of the ABCR Festival was held in Sao Paulo on 1 and 2 July 2024 and represented a milestone for fundraising in the Third Sector. With the theme "Innovating fundraising", the event brought together leaders and professionals in the sector for two days of intense exchange of knowledge and experiences.
(ANS – Madrid) – Every year, Salesian organisations send young volunteers on mission for brief and medium-long periods. The former have an experience ranging from one to three months and their stay is coordinated by the Salesian Provinces. The latter spend more than three months in their place of destination and their stay is coordinated by the Misiones Salesianas Mission Office based in Madrid. This year, 19 volunteers are sent on mission, with Misiones Salesianas, 6 from Spain's Mary Help of Christians Province (SMX) and 33 from Spain's Saint James the Greater Province (SSM).
(ANS – Rome) – The Conference of the Salesian Provinces of Italy (CISI) formators course this year was held in Rome, at the Don Bosco House in Cinecittà, Rome, from 29 June to 2 July 2024. The appointment is an annual event for the Salesians of Italy from the various houses of formation, and who are engaged in the different phases of formation. This year's formation proposal was focused on the theme of interiority, under the motto: "Internalise. “What does it mean?” How to accompany?”
(ANS - Vitória) - The Salesian University Centre 'UniSales', based in Vitória, in the Brazilian State of 'Espírito Santo' and belonging to the Province of Brazil-Belo Horizonte (BBH), was awarded first place in the ranking drawn up for the 'Prof. Gabriel Mário Rodrigues' Award for Innovation in Higher Education, organised by 'Semesp', an institution representing Higher Education providers in Brazil. UniSales was awarded for its project 'Socio-Emotional Day: Web Application for the Evaluation of the Development of Soft Skills in Higher Education'.

After more than 45 years in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he is experiencing the consequences of the activity of armed groups, which seek to extract the valuable coltan from the country's mines. Goma is a city of 160,000 inhabitants, located in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, on the border with Rwanda and 90 km from Uganda.
