(ANS – Agartala) – The Honourable Governor of Tripura Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the Silver Jubilee Annexe of Don Bosco School Agartala on 8th July in the presence of school management, staff, students, and honoured guests, at a function held at the lobby of the new edifice. The new block, built as a testimonial to twenty-five years of the school’s existence as a quality institute of learning, will house the students of what the NEP calls, the Foundational Stage - Nursery to Class II.

(ANS – Damascus) – "Don Bosco World" has taken the place of "Don Bosco Space"  as the theme of the summer camps that the Salesian houses in Aleppo, Damascus and Kafroun are offering this year to almost 3,000 youngsters for about a month and a half. In the midst of the difficult economic and social situation of the country, which has been at war for 13 years this year, and with the effects of the devastating earthquake last year, the Salesians continue to transform their environments into "oases of peace" where joy and hope reign thanks to the educational, recreational, shared living and religious dynamics that they lead, actively involving hundreds of young youth centre leaders.

(ANS – Munich) – "Today is a day of joy, because it creates a piece of the future for young people. This is a great thing," said former Bavarian Minister Carolina Trautner, member of the Board of Directors of the Bavarian State Foundation, on Wednesday 3 July 2024 in Munich, on the occasion of the official start of work on one of the largest renovation and renovation projects of the Salesianum since the foundation of the institution in 1919.

(ANS– Rome) – Issue 80 has been published for the  January-June 2023 semester of “Ricerche Storiche Salesiane” (RSS), the biannual journal of religious and civil history published by the Salesian Historical Institute (ISS). As always, there are many relevant and important contributions, for history buffs or otherwise.

(ANS – Esmeraldas) – Friday 5 July 2024, the Salesian St Philip Neri community, Esmeraldas, celebrated with great joy and emotion the 20 years of the Salesian "Chicos de la Calle" (Street Children)  project  in the San Lorenzo Canton, Province of Esmeraldas.

(ANS – Rome) – During the General Council meeting of 2 July 2024, the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Card. Ángel Fernández Artime, in accordance with Article 159 of the Salesian Constitutions, established a new Salesian Delegation which includes Salesian presences in Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro (AKM) and is entitled "Mother of Good Council". It will be based in Tirana, Albania, and will depend on the Blessed Michael Rua Province of Southern Italy (IME).
