(ANS – Bethlehem) – The Salesian work in Bethlehem, begun by its forerunner Fr Antonio Belloni in 1864, continues to promote the integral growth and vocational and technical training of thousands of young people from ordinary folk. Today it takes on new challenges, networking with the cultural, social and religious institutions of the Palestinian territory between Jerusalem and Hebron.
(ANS – Rome) – Just a few days after the Team Visit to the East Asia-Oceania Region, the entire General Council of the Salesian Congregation, led by Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, is now preparing for a similar Team Visit to the Africa-Madagascar Region. The appointment is in Kigali, Rwanda, from Tuesday 20 to Friday 23 February.
(ANS -K’Long) – The four-day long EAO Team Visit at K’Long Retreat Centre, Vietnam concluded yesterday, February 17, 2024. They were days characterized by intense presentations, discussions, and sharing. The 94 confreres who participated exhibited great enthusiasm and attentive listening. The tenth successor of Don Bosco, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, delivered his concluding remarks, expressing gratitude and outlining a compelling roadmap for the future.
(ANS – Da Lat) - In a momentous event yesterday evening, 16 February, the Don Rua Da Lat community had the honor of hosting the esteemed Rector Major, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, as well as the General Councilors and Participants of the EAO Team Visit 2024. The occasion witnessed the presence of numerous distinguished guests, including Bishop Dominic Nguyen Van Manh, Bishop Peter Nguyen Van De, SDB, and Fr. John Bosco Hoang Van Chinh, along with members of the Civil Government.
(ANS - K'Long) - The EAO Team Visit entered its third day on February 16, 2024, with a series of thought-provoking discussions revolving around Salesian formation and the imperative of adapting to an ever-evolving world. The day commenced with a Holy Mass led by Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, accompanied by an inspiring homily delivered by Fr García Morcuende Miguel Ángel, the General Councillor for Youth Ministry. His sermon centered on the profound meaning of Lent and encouraged participants to introspect, placing love for God and dedication to youth at the forefront of their lives.
(ANS – K’Long) – The EAO team visit to K'Long came to a close on February 17, 2024, leaving its participants with a sense of contentment and renewed enthusiasm for the Salesian mission. The last day of the visit was marked by a thanksgiving Holy Eucharist, in the morning celebrated by Rector Major Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, who shared his profound experiences visiting Salesian provinces worldwide.
