The meeting began on a lighthearted note, as the Indonesian Province of "Saint Luigi Versiglia" organized a mini-game that infused the venue with joy and camaraderie. Following the game, Fr Ivo Coelho, the General Councilor for Formation, took the stage to share his profound insights on the topic of "Salesian formation in today's dynamic world." Three key points were emphasized: Identity, Training, and Formative Style. Fr Coelho urged all attendees to embrace their Salesian identity wholeheartedly, whether as priests or lay brothers. Additionally, he underscored the impact of the Salesian formative style on shaping the lives of individuals.
The participants then split into smaller groups, engaging in in-depth discussions that delved further into the topic. At 10:30 a.m., the groups reconvened, sharing their reflections and insights with the wider audience. The feedback session yielded a tapestry of diverse perspectives, enriching the collective understanding of the subject matter. In response to discussions on identity and training, Fr Coelho affirmed, "The Formator's heart is indispensable; when the Formator's heart is resolute, it paves the way to true happiness."

He stressed the importance of embracing technological tools wisely and judiciously, citing pertinent research and publications by the Church and Congregation. He urged the provinces to contemplate three specific questions tailored to their unique contexts: strategic planning, taking bold strides forward, and safeguarding the environment (in line with the principles of Laudato Si') in both economic and communal spheres. Engaging group discussions ensued, allowing participants to delve into these topics in greater depth.
As the afternoon session drew to a close, participants eagerly prepared for an evening visit to Da Lat City, brimming with anticipation and a shared sense of camaraderie.
