Enna, Italy - August 2016 - From 4 to 7 August the Salesian Cooperators of Sicily met in Enna for the annual Spirituality Days. This year's theme was Mercy in the practice of Christian life, presented by Fr Paul Caltabiano SDB, Delegate for the Cooperators in Sicily. One of the highlights was the pilgrimage with the icon of Our Lady of Mercy to the shrine of Our Lady of Valverde.

Bogota, Colombia - August 16, 2016 - Fr Filiberto Gonzalez, SDB, General Councillor for Social Communication officially began the Extraordinary Visitation of the San Pedro Claver Province of Bogotá (COB) with a meeting with the Provincial Council on Tuesday 16 August. The visitation will run until 24 November.

Spain – Work camp in Ceuta

Ceuta, Spain - August 2016 - In the first fortnight of August, several young people from Salesian centres in Spain took part in a work camp in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in North Africa, frontier land for Migration to Europe from the Dark Continent. The camp, organized by the Spanish Salesian NGOs "VOLS - Voluntariat Solidari", "Solidaridad Don Bosco" and "Jóvenes y Desarrollo" allowed participants to be informed on the theme of migration and to serve the people in the Temporary Residence Centre for Immigrants run by the "Fundación Elin".

Lima, Peru - August 2016 – From August 11th to 13th, several young people coming from the Salesian Centres of the entire country (Piura, Cusco, Ayacucho, Huancayo, Lima, Callao and San Lorenzo) participated in the 2016 Salesian Vocation Encounter. Fr. Humberto Chávez, SDB, Coordinator of the Vocational Animation Commission, directed and animated the encounter.
