Lima, Peru - August 2016 – On Saturday 13 August, the Salesian José Luis Sánchez Flores made his perpetual profession in the presence of the Provincial Fr Santo Dal Ben, who told him: "Thank you for giving your life and your love for the Lord."

Chakraghatty, Nepal - 15 August 2016 - Don Bosco School, Chakraghatty is a new Salesian foundation in Nepal. The Salesians have found a way to begin to make Don Bosco known in this part of the world. Under the guidance of Father Binu Jacob, Headmaster of the school, the "Don Bosco Interschool Challenger Football Tournament" was organized in mid-August. Thirty teams from different schools took part.

Rome, Italy - An earthquake, significant because of its intensity and the size of the territory affected, has hit the regions of Central Italy and already there are some victims. No Salesian House was directly involved, although there are two houses – Terni and Perugia – in Umbria, the region affected by the earthquake. The situation has not yet fully stabilized: it happened just a few hours ago. At the time of writing first aid is being administered and, apart from the damage, it is hoped that there will be no increase in the number of victims.
