Bratislava, Slovakia - June 2017 - On 10 and 11 June, the Salesians of Don Bosco offered lectures on the figure of the venerable Titus Zeman. Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, General Postulator for the Causes of Saints, and Lodovica Maria Zanet, author of "Positio", spoke at the Faculty of Theology in Košice and at "Mamateyova" Salesian Center in Bratislava, regarding the Salesian characteristics, the specificity Of martyrdom and the example of Titus Zeman for the laity, and how to introduce his veneration into daily life. The conferences were attended by about 200 people from members of the Salesian Family, various religious groups and the general public. Madrid, Spain - June 2017 - The Consulta 2017 of the Association of Salesian Cooperators (ASCs) of the Iberian Region took place on 10 and 11 June. In the first session, the theme "Thinking of the future mission of ASC in the Iberian region" was introduced, and followed by intense group work; then reports on NGOs "Cooperación Salesiana" and "Jóvenes del Mundo" were presented and information was provided on the vocations and coordinators of the provinces; experiences, activities and associative life were also shared. Sunday's agenda included: a document presented to prepare the Synod of Youth 2018; the state of progress for the 2nd Regional Meeting; the exercises that will take place in Buena Fuente del Sistal; and the Delegates' Information and Evaluations of the Consulta.

Jabłonka, Poland - June 2017 - On the 3rd and 4th June, at the initiative of the Salesian Voluntary Service "Młodzi Światu" in Krakow (PLS Province), and in cooperation with the Municipalities of Jabłonka and Lipnica Wielka, the 16th edition of the event "Orawa for the Children of Africa" took place. The event, this year in favor of the children of Uganda, began in the Jabłonka Cultural Center, with a concert, the presentation of a film on street children in Uganda, and the prayer vigil on Pentecost. On June 4, volunteers went to the 11 parishes of the Orawa region to seek support for the children of Uganda. In the afternoon, at the Jabłonka Stadium, participants, especially children celebrating the "Day of the Child", attended a rich program of activities.

Parañaque, Philippines - June 8, 2017 - On June 8, the Salesians of the Parañaque Studies Center commemorated the blessed martyr and Salesian Brother Stefano Sándor, patron of the community, with a Eucharistic celebration, a sports tournament and an artistic program.

Bogotá, Colombia - June 2017 - On 13 June, the Mayor of Bogotá, Enrique Peñalosa, conferred the "City of Bogotá Civil Order of Merit” to the Salesian community, and the 60 years of service of its Don Bosco Center, an educational institution which has contributed greatly to the education of young people in Bogota. The Mayor underlined the work of the Don Bosco Center, recognized as the city's best technical institute, and those of other educational centers under Salesian leadership: "The Salesian community of Bogotá and Colombia is of the utmost importance because we share values, and it plays a very important role in the education of our children and young people. " Don Jaime Enrique Morales, Provincial of the Bogotá Province, thanked the Mayor for the award.

Uvira, Democratic Republic of Congo - June 2017 – On 11 June 2014, the first 9 young missionaries arrived in Uvira, Democratic Republic of Congo, Province of Central African (AFC), where they launched the missionary group at the Salesian institute. After three years, the youths continue to support Salesian work and spread the missionary spirit in the school and surrounding areas.
