Funes, Argentina - June 2017 - From 18 to 20 June, the meeting of the Salesian Training Schools of Argentina took place. Participants included: the communities of Casa Emmaus of Bahía Blanca of the South Argentina Province, the Prenovitiate of the Northern Province, and the inter-provincial communities of the novitiate, post-novitiate and theologized.

Salama, R.D. Congo - June 14, 2017 - On June 14, the Salesian University Pastoral Office of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which includes the three higher institutions "ESIS", "ECOPO", "ISAMM", organized the Thanksgiving Mass for the closing of the academic year 2016-2017, presided over by Fr. Jean Claude Ngoy, Provincial of the Central Africa Province.

Santeramo in Colle, Italy - June 2017 - From 16 to 18 June, the 50th edition of the Festival of the Oratorian Song was held, organized by the Salesian oratory of Santeramo. To celebrate these first 50 years together circa 100 choir children climbed onstage to perform 10 winning songs drawn from the event's history. During the evenings, the most significant artistic representations of the Santeramo elementary school children were rewarded, works inspired by the lyrics in the competition. Cover bands then featured songs from Depeche Mode, Queen and Stevie Wonder. To declare the winners of the two categories (Children and Teens), the vote of the public was combined with the evaluation of the technical jury present the two evenings, a jury comprising of past maestros who successively directed the historic event.

Bảo Lộc, Vietnam - June 2017 – On June 10, in the presence of Fr. Joseph Nguyen Van Quang, Salesian Inspector of Vietnam, the closing ceremony of the 2016-2017 school year took place with the awarding of diplomas to 80 students graduating from the Bảo Lộc.

Lublin, Poland - June 2017 – Fr Andrzej Maryniarczyk, Salesian, Head of the Metaphysical Department of the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), received the “Gloria Artis” Gold Medal for the Arts from Piotr Gliński, the Minister of Culture and of National Heritage. The medal awards ceremony took place on June 12 in the Castle of Lublin, during a scientific conference.

Quebec, Canada - June 2017 - From 19 to 22 June, the SIGNIS World Congress 2017 was held on the theme: "Promoting Stories of Hope" with plenary sessions and workshops wherein to discuss, discover and share topics on the world of media and social communications. Attending the congress were 150 Catholic communicators, including several Salesians.
