Porto Alegre, Brazil - July 2017 - The social communication meeting of the Porto Alegre Province (BPA) was held on 13 and 14 July, bringing together representatives of social works, schools and parishes. The event was organized by the Brazil Salesian Network - Communication with the aim of strengthening the work of Social Communication carried out in the country's Salesian centers.

Wau, South Sudan - July 2017 - On 9 July, on the occasion of South Sudan's Independence Day Celebrations, in the Wau South-Sudanese internally-displaced refugee camp, a Eucharist was celebrated during which 41 children born within the camp were baptized. The Salesians are active within the Wau camp, accompanying and supporting the refugees, and animating a parish with several chapels, a Vocational Training Center and a typography.

Resistencia, Argentina - July 2017 - From 29 June to 2 July, the vocation reflection workshop of the "Emaús 2017" project was attended by 70 young animators, collaborators and Salesians.

Mexico City, Mexico - July 2017 - The Days of Salesian Pastoral Formation Planning 2017 were held on July 6 and 7 on the theme of “Building the new Salesian School before the Family, Interculturality and the World of the Young.” The event was attended by laymen, religious, teachers and staff members of the various pedagogical, pastoral and administrative departments of a number of educational centers of the Salesian Province of Mexico City (MEM).

Mornese, Italy - July 2017 - From 11 to 16 July, the Spiritual Exercises for the Delegates and Salesian Cooperators of Italy, strongly requested by the Salesian Cooperators themselves, were held in Mornese as a joint formation between lay people and consecrated persons as well as a rediscovery of the origins of charism. The theme of the workshop was: "On the steps of Main, teacher of Life ...", a study to better understand the figure and spirituality of Mother Mazzarello. This experience is related to one made two years ago in Sant'Ignazio sopra Lanzo (TO), a place dear to Don Bosco and chosen by him for his Spiritual Exercises.

Makati City, Philippines - July 8, 2017 - The members of the Salesian Family and Salesians of the Northern Philippines Province (FIN) met at the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati for its annual formation day with the participation of Fr Anthony Paul Bicomong, FIN Inspector, and Fr Roberto Roxas, Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family.
