Tarnowskie Góry, Poland - June 2017 - From 26 to 30 June, in the Salesian work of Tarnowskie Góry, Wroclaw Province (PLO), the Permanent Training Course for Salesian Priests was held for those serving who've served between 6 and 10 years as priests. The course was attended by 12 young priests from the four Polish Provinces, led by Fr Piotr Lorek, Provincial Vicar of PLO, and Fr Janusz Kaminski of the local community. This year's theme was: "The Oratory: is it a wreck (out of fashion) or a challenge?" Laity and Salesians shared their experiences and good practices, including Fr Artur Dylewski, Director of the Youth Education Center of Rzepczyn who talked about the activities of the parish oratory, and their work with disabled children and children with cancer.

Pointe-Noire, Congo - July 2017 - Launched a year ago with the theme - "50 years at the service of evangelization, education and humanization", the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Salesian parish "San Giovanni Bosco" in Pointe -Noire ended on 2 July with Mass chaired by Mgr. Miguel Ángel Olaverri, SDB, Bishop of Pointe-Noire. About 5,000 faithful participated in the event in the presence of political and religious authorities, and many Salesians from the various centers of the Vice-Province of Equatorial Tropical Africa.

Rome, Italy - July 2017 - On 1 to 3 July, the Salesian teachers of the training houses in Italy attended their annual professional training workshop. The theme of this edition was: "The Salesian and the Network. To investigate and evaluate", a continuous effort of the Italian Salesian Provinces to reach guidelines for an institutional and personal presence on the Internet. Starting from considerations on the anthropological and cultural implications of the web phenomenon, attention was given to preventive training, and questions raised on the pastoral implications that Salesians can promote in the digital courtyard.

Macas, Ecuador - June 2017 - On June 29 and 30, Macas hosted the meeting of the directors of the Salesian Province of Ecuador (ECU), followed by the Provincial Festival on July 1, with the Eucharist in the Shrine of the Purissima of Macas. Hong Kong - June 2017 - On 24 June at the "Salesian Yip Hon Millennium Primary School", the Salesian Youth Day was held for elementary school students on the theme of "Purity: The Most Beautiful of Virtues,” presenting St. Domenico Savio as a model. Over 180 students from 8 schools of the Salesian Family attended the event, together with the Delegate of Youth Ministry of the Province, Fr Antonio Leung, and the Provincial, Fr Lanfranco Fedrigotti.

Abidjan, Ivory Coast - June 2017 - A meeting of the Salesian Youth Movement (MGS) took place in Abidjan from 23 to 25 June on the theme "We are Family." About fifty young people from the Movement, of the "Marie Dominique", "Don Bosco" and "Saint Francis of Assisi" parishes, participated in moments of prayer, eucharistic celebrations and other activities, including a mission to a number of poor families to pray with them, give comfort and offer a small donation.
