(ANS – Quito) – On March 11 and 12, 2025, Lina Varón and Rafael Garrido, representatives of the Spanish Salesian NGO “Jóvenes y Desarrollo” (Youth and Development - JyD), visited Ecuador with the goal of supporting ongoing projects and assessing the feasibility of new collaborative initiatives. During their stay in the Andean country, they evaluated various programs alongside the team from the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PDO) and the technical team of the Salesian social action program, “Proyecto Salesiano Ecuador.”
(ANS – Rome) – Salesians began their first presence in Ireland in 1919 following the invitation of Bishop Hallinan of Limerick, who himself spent a year with Don Bosco in the Oratory. Based at Pallaskenry, this first presence took the form of a Training Farm and Agricultural College which continues to this day.
(ANS – Rome) – The Salesian Province of New Delhi, canonically established on January 25, 1997, emerged from the Calcutta Province delegation formed in 1992. With its headquarters in New Delhi, the province spans 11 states and 2 union territories in North India, covering 46% of India's geographic area. Within this vast territory, the province operates in 9 states, 2 union territories, and a single presence in West Bengal. Additionally, Salesians from this province serve diocesan missions in the USA under special arrangements.

RMG - Preparation, objectives, challenges and perspectives of GC29: in dialogue with the Moderator, Fr Alphonse Owoudou
(ANS - RMG) - Just a few days before the beginning of the 29th General Chapter (GC29) of the Salesian Congregation, Fr Alphonse Owoudou, Councillor for the Africa-Madagascar Region and Moderator of GC29, recounts in detail, through an articulate interview, the work preceding and underlying this responsibility, indicating the spirit that will animate it and the attitudes and conditions to make it truly a Cenacle in which the Holy Spirit can act, for the benefit of the Congregation, the Salesian mission and the youth of the world.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

(ANS – Florence) – The Salesian network for vocational training and education will participate in the “Didacta Fair” to discuss artificial intelligence, employment, business, and school education.

Brazil – The Salesian Missionary Presence Among the Xavante People
(ANS – Campo Grande) – Answering the call to mission and Don Bosco’s missionary dream, the Salesian Family is present among the Xavante indigenous people in the Sangradouro mission, located in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso. Through inculturated evangelization, the Salesians are dedicated to bringing the Good News of Jesus, especially to young indigenous people.

Dear friends and readers, members of the Salesian Family, for this month's greeting in the Salesian Bulletin I will focus on a very important event that the Salesian Congregation is holding presently: General Chapter XXIX. This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
