(ANS – Dili) – Upon their arrival at the Provincial House community of Timor Leste (TLS), in Dili, on May 2, 2024, Fr Joan Lluís Playà, SDB, the Rector Major’s Central Delegate for the Salesian Family Secretariat, and Brother Dominic Nam Nguyen, SDB, World Delegate for Past Pupils and Salesian Cooperators, has began their animation visit to the TLS Vice-Province. Some members of different groups of the Salesian Family from Maliana and Dili gathered at the AVR hall to greet and meet the two world delegates.
(ANS – Rome) – In order to answer to the mandate of the GC28 to respond creatively, courageously and educatively to the digital culture and the recent call of Pope Francis regarding the importance of artificial intelligence for the Church, the Sector of Salesian Social Communication has created an International Salesian Commission for Artificial Intelligence (ISCAI).
(ANS – Legnano) – Drawings, collages and videos: the children at schools in Legnano who participated in the competition on Fr Carlo Crespi, SDB, organised by the Associazione Padre Carlo Crespi of Legnano – birthplace of the Venerable – included in a busy program of celebrations for the 100th anniversary of Legnano City.
(ANS – Rome) – The economic and financial management of any organisation, including those of the so-called Third Sector, is something fundamental for the realisation of the institution's projects and mission. With this awareness in mind, some thirty Salesians and lay people are gathering from 6 to 10 May 2024, at the facilities of the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome, for the annual appointment of the recently appointed formation course for Provincial Economers.
(ANS – Palabek) – On the third day of His Eminence's visit to Uganda - Palabek particularly, the Rector Major, His Eminence Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, stopped for a brief visit at the Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate from Gulu living in the camp (St Daniel Comboni), who work closely with the Salesian mission in Palabek, while en route to the Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre - Palabek (VTC), which is located nine kilometres from the Salesian community. He blessed the local community there.
(ANS – Rome) – The tradition of the Worldwide Novena to Mary Help of Christians (15-23 May), promoted by Salesian Headquarters and of importance for all members of the Salesian Family who intend to adequately prepare for this anniversary, is renewed again this year. Accompanying videos of the 2024 Novena will be made available online in the coming days.

Chile – Former Salesian student in the fight against Alzheimer's disease(ANS - Santiago) - Dr Nibaldo Inestrosa, graduate of the Salesian Institute in Valdivia and national prize of Natural Sciences winner, is a pioneer and expert in the study of Alzheimer's disease in the country. India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
