(ANS - Rome) - The minor Basilica of San Giovanni Bosco in Rome is the largest parish in the city in terms of the number of faithful, a collection of works of art, and has also been an "ongoing construction site" for a long time, due to important restoration work to which it is subjected; but neither this, nor the pandemic, stop the apostolic zeal of the community that animates it.

Gela, Italy - October 2020 - On 31 October the young people from the formation groups of the Salesian Oratory "San Domenico Savio" in Gela and the "Young Families" group gave life to a Vigil on Youth Holiness. The theme of the Vigil was “Dream Holy Dreams” to remind us that Dreams and Holiness must be travel companions in the life of a young person. Fr Alberto Anzalone, Delegate for Youth Ministry of the Province of Sicily and Tunisia (ISI), presided over the Vigil; it was animated by the same young people who, with live music, made this moment of grace special. Also present was Fr Dario Spinella, Vocation and Mission Animator. There were three central moments of the vigil, alternating with texts and songs on the life of Blessed Carlo Acutis: the presentation of the life of the new Blessed; Eucharistic adoration; individual confessions. The event took place at the "PalaDonBosco" to be able to guarantee social distancing.

(ANS - Occimiano) - Occimiano is a burgh located at the foot of the first gentle hills of Monferrato. Due to its position, it has always enjoyed widely varied agricultural production. The passage of Don Bosco to Occimiano on the evening of 12 October 1861 was definitely significant. There, six years prior, a boy had been born who would carry the name of Don Bosco to the ends of the world: Evasio Rabagliati.
(ANS - Macerata) - The Salesian Institute "San Giuseppe" of Macerata, in the Circumscription of Central Italy (ICC), celebrates its 130 years this 2020; in fact, the motto that guides the celebratory initiatives is: "20 + 20 = 130". The house was inaugurated on 4 November 1890 and now, after a year of preparations, Salesians and young people together are now preparing to celebrate this simple and complex anniversary with a week of events: simple in the desire to thank the Lord for the gift of Don Bosco and his charism; complex for the current world situation before which, however, one does not want to remain exclusively passive.

May the Lord show His face to you, and have mercy on you. May the Lord turn His countenance to you, and give you peace."
