(ANS – Rome) - On Saturday, 12 April 2025, the Salesian Congregation concluded its 29th General Chapter with a solemn Eucharistic celebration at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Rome. This historic event brought to an end nearly two months of prayer, discernment, and dialogue, which began on 16 February 2025 at the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Turin—two basilicas built by Don Bosco himself.
(ANS – Rome) – The 29th General Chapter of the Salesians of Don Bosco is coming to its conclusion. The final Holy Mass and the closing ceremony will take place at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, located adjacent to the Salesian Headquarters in Rome. This significant moment will be streamed live on Saturday, April 12, starting at 11:00 AM (UTC+2), on the official ANS YouTube channel, allowing Salesians and members of the Salesian Family from all over the world to virtually participate in this moment of grace and thanksgiving.

(ANS – Hong Kong) – As Pope Francis asked in his encyclical Laudato Si’, “what need does the earth have of us?” (Pope Francis, Laudato Si’, no. 160) Several students from Aberdeen Technical School, full of creativity and environmental awareness, developed a “PET Recycling Machine” with the support of their school, responded to the Pope’s invitation with ingenuity.

Certainly, being at Valdocco, in the "cradle of the charism", we have the opportunity to rediscover the beginnings of our history and rediscover the originality that constitutes the heart of our identity as consecrated persons and apostles to the young.
