SPECIAL REPORTS

(ANS - Rome) - We are now getting used to the fact that in the process preceding the assemblies of the Synod of Bishops not only are the working paper for classroom discussion included, but also a questionnaire that anticipates what the issues on the agenda might be. In this way, one might have the wealth of an ecclesial participation that is greater when compared to only the opinion of the priests and guests of the Synod.

(ANS - Rio do Sul) - Being in somebody else's shoes is often a difficult task, especially when it comes to a person with physical disabilities. But it is also educational. For this reason, educator Luiz Thimotheo, a physical education teacher at the "María Auxiliadora" Salesian Institute in Rio do Sul, in the State of Santa Catarina, has proposed to his primary and secondary school students that they experiment, for a limited time, the difficulties of everyday life that people with physical disabilities encounter.

(ANS – Bolton) – In a week that began with the bombing of young people and families in Manchester and ended with an attack on Coptic Christians in Egypt on their way to a monastery, including many children, it's easy to become depressed, angry and fearful. But, we are a people of hope, and we are taught to love our neighbour.

(ANS – Salerno) – “A war machine with some mishaps”: this is the boldest metaphor with which Don Bosco was pleasantly defined during the presentation in Salerno of the critical edition of his letters: a monumental book presented by a large groups of professors of the Universities of Salerno, Cassino and Naples.
