Buenos Aires, Argentina - 1910 - Chapel of the Institute of Mary Help of Christians, run by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, in Yapeyú street, at that time a street with no name. It was the first shrine dedicated to Mary Help of Christians in America, and was built in 1883. It stands in front of the "Pio IX" Institute of the Salesians, in what is now identified as the neighborhood of Almagro, in Buenos Aires.

Valencia, Venezuela - February 1960 - Domenico Savio, a pupil of Don Bosco, was canonized in 1954 and his figure is known throughout the Church for being one of the youngest non-martyr saints of the Catholic Church. The Salesian Bulletin of 1960 shows the photo of little Mario, who received a miracle through the intercession of Domenico Savio. The archive research was able to find the photo, but not to go back to the miracle. For Domenico Savio, therefore, the proverb "The miracle is said, not the saint" should be reversed.

Guandong, China - On January 19, 1906, the first Salesian Missionary Expedition to China, led by Fr Luigi Versiglia, leaves Italy. The future bishop and martyr lands in Macao, is transferred to Hong Kong, travels to Heung Chow and Guandong, multiplying his pastoral work. As a good shepherd, he rides and visits many villages to bring the Gospel and his only means is a motorcycle.

Quito, Ecuador - October 1957 - The Salesian school "Cardenal Spellman" was founded on 1 October 1957. The institute was born on the initiative of the then Archbishop of Quito, Cardinal Carlos María De la Torre, who, together with Msgr. Cándido Rada, SDB, managed the project and got in touch with Cardinal Francis Spellman, then archbishop of New York; the latter made available the resources to carry out the work, why, as a token of gratitude, the institute took his name. Subsequently, the school changed its seat, passing from the district of Girón to Cumbayá; in 2000, it officially became the "Cardinal Spellman Salesian Educational Unit."
