Rodeo del Medio, Argentina - 1901 - In 1901, in the Salesian house in Rodeo del Medio, a school aimed at teaching viticulture and enology was established and soon the construction of the Experimental Cellar also began. On April 17 of that same year, the first Mass wine was filtered by Fr Paolo Rebotti. In a certain sense, this date symbolizes more than any other the "birth" of the "Don Bosco" work in Mendoza.

Puertollano, Spain - 1960 - An ancient photograph showing the monument to Mary Help of Christians in 'El Bonal', a remote agricultural estate located on the outskirts of Puertollano. This Salesian presence, now disappeared, was mainly dedicated to the function of a Salesian seminary, authorized by the diocese in 1959. The monument depicted in the photo was built in the middle of the field, near a well that was used for the irrigation of the various orchards present on the estate. The work is due to the imagination and talent of the Salesian and sculptor Enrique Herencia. Although the Salesians left this presence in the 1970s, the monument to Mary Help of Christians can still be seen from the street as the new owners have kept it.

Bogotà, Colombia - 1922 - This photograph, belonging to the historical archive of the "St Peter Claver" Province of Colombia-Bogotà, portrays a group of students from the "León XIII" Salesian Boarding School. It was taken in 1922 on the south side of the courtyard of the Arts section.

Zamora, Spain - Dating back to the mid-20th century, this photograph shows a moment of the construction of the current Church of Mary Help of Christians in Zamora. It is an interesting document, which provides a valuable testimony of its creation. In the photograph, in fact, you can see the advanced formation of the side walls, with the scaffolding and the first arches ready to begin the construction of the roof. The works at the church, located a few steps from the RENFE-Zamora railway station, were supervised by the architect Luis Moya.
