Farnborough, England - An old picture showing Fr Paul Albera (Don Bosco's second successor at the head of the Congregation), among the leaders and young people of the Salesian House in Farnborough. In 1912, Fr Albera made several canonical visits to Europe. In addition to the houses at London, Burwash and Farnborough in England, he further went on to France and Belgium, and then returned to Italy. This photograph is taken from the book by Fr Guido Favini entitled 'Fr Paolo Albera, le petit Don Bosco' (Fr Paul Albera – the little Don Bosco).

Macau - 1912 - This image depicts an old building known as "The House of 16 Columns", which housed the Orphanage of the Immaculate Conception. The structure was located on St Lawrence Street, Macau, and was designed by the Macaoese architect José Agostinho Tomás de Aquino

Spain - Fr Michele Rua in Santander

Santander, Spain - 1906 - Group photo showing Fr Michele Rua and the community of the Salesian house in Santander in 1906. The photograph was taken as part of Fr Rua's third and final trip to Spain. Before arriving in Spain, he had already visited France and England. Fr Rua's zeal and apostolic ardor as Rector Major had, indeed, one of their main manifestations in his travels. In the 22 years of his mandate, he visited 18 countries, bringing his closeness to the Salesian presences and that of Daughters of Mary Help of Christians that had been established. The image is currently kept in the Provincial Historical Archives of Seville.

Panama City, Panama - 1920 - An ancient image, dating back to 1920, which testifies to the beginnings of the Salesian work in Panama. This photograph, published on the Facebook page of the Don Bosco Technical Institute, shows the workshop in which the blacksmith's trade was taught to little orphans. The Salesians arrived in Panama in 1907 to found the "Hospice of the Orphans", which formally began two years later. The work was placed on land annexed to the Don Bosco Basilica and remained there until 1958 when it was moved to the new headquarters in Paitilla.
