(ANS - Turin) - On the occasion of the Feast of St John Bosco on 31 January and in the year of the Jubilee, which takes place under the banner of hope, the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Valdocco, Turin, and Colle Don Boscol have prepared a rich calendar of events to commemorate the Saint of Youth.
(ANS – Tokyo) – Several Don Bosco Past Pupils from Japan are involved in the non-Seibo governmental organisation whose name means ‘Holy Mother’, established in 2015 with the mission to give all children in the world a hot meal at school. In 2024, Seibo Japan made significant progress in Catholic education, aligning efforts with the Global Compact on Education initiative.
(ANS – Rome) – Nestled in the serene locality of Bandlaguda Jagir, Hyderabad, the Don Bosco Shrine stands as a testament to faith, community service, and youth empowerment. This sacred sanctuary, which has grown into a vibrant center of worship and spirituality, boasts a rich history and an inspiring vision for the future. Rooted in devotion to Don Bosco, it continues to nurture faith and serve as a beacon of Salesian charism.
(ANS – Rome) – The Tacurú Movement, founded in 1981 in Montevideo, Uruguay, is a Salesian social work that supports vulnerable children, teenagers and young people, offering them tools for their personal and community development. In view of the 2025 Feast of Don Bosco, it represents the sixth Salesian social initiative that ANS has the pleasure of presenting to its readers.
(ANS – Santo Domingo) – With great joy and gratitude, the Salesians of the Antilles announced the start of the celebration of their 90 years of educational, pastoral and social work in the Dominican Republic. This significant event was inaugurated with a mass celebrated by Bishop José Amable Durán Tineo, Auxiliary Bishop of Santo Domingo, which took place on Wednesday 24 January at 10:00 a.m. in the parish of St John Bosco in Santo Domingo.
