Corrientes, Argentina – June 2024 – In the current media context in which the multimedia consumption of young people has radically changed, young people belonging to the 'Cam.Re.Voc,' group of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) in Corrientes, Argentina, decided to adopt a new way to relate with their peers: streaming. Through live digital broadcasts - with interviews, reports of events or simply live interventions - young people use humour and spontaneity to talk about God, the Salesian charism and their vocational search in Cam.Re.Voc. “All you need is a computer, an Internet connection, a camera and a microphone,” they explained. “We did a trial run, we felt comfortable, people congratulated us and we made contact with young people and adults. And we decided to give continuity to the project.” In this way, the young people of Cam.Re.Voc. (Camp for Vocational Renewal, for 12 to 16 year-olds), themselves become evangelisers on the web using their own kind of language.

Bogotà, Colombia - June 2024 – The 16th "Indaba Salesiano" province meeting was held on 15, 16 and 17 June at the "Villa Don Bosco" retreat centre in Bogotà, an opportunity for formation which has more than 50 years of history in the San Pedro Claver Province of Colombia-Bogotá (COB) and which brought together more than 60 adult educators in order to strengthen the associative experience of Salesian Scouting. The Provincial Delegation for Youth Ministry, is aiming to contribute to the strengthening of Salesian spirituality in the scout groups, whose presence in the different works of the Province contributes to the living construction of Salesian youth ministry, being a living example of Salesian education with their joy and their special way of attracting young people and accompanying them.

Cebu City, the Philippines – June 2024 – The Inter-Don Bosco Youth Centre League was held in Cebu City last 22 to 23 June 2024. This is the 3rd iteration of DBYC and following an 8-year gap. It was organised by youth leaders and volunteers for the different youth centres in Metro Cebu guided by the Subcommission on Youth Centres of the Commission on Youth Ministry (CYM) under the leadership of Fr. Rooney John Undar, SDB. This two-day sports fest united Salesian youth from five Salesian settings: four youth centers from Lawaan, Lourdes, Pasil and DBTC, and SYM members and students of the latter. It was organised to kick start the revival of youth centres after the pandemic lull with the hope to reignite the participation of young people in sports and games. Events included Basketball, Volleyball, Futsal, Local Pinoy Games, Chess, Dance Competition, Singing Competition, and more. On the second day, youth celebrated the Holy Mass animated by the Federation of Choirs and Musicians (FOCM) of the Salesian Youth Movement. In the afternoon, the awarding ceremonies honoured the athletes with their achievements. The Lourdes Parish Youth Centre clinched their three-peat overall champion. The iDBYC Sports League had its origin in the summer of 2015 when Fr. Gino Godinez, SDB mobilised the youth directors of the different settings to a league. This year saw youth leaders taking charge and directing the league with Salesians taking on the advisory role. This brings to life the Salesian dream of “youth serving youth”.
