Goma, DR Congo – June 2024 - On Thursday 27 June, Fr George Menamparampil concluded his visit to the Salesian St Joseph Delegation of Central East Africa. His mission was aimed at "sharing experiences and supporting the financial management and mobilization of funds within the AFC-EST delegation". On this occasion, Fr Menamparampil animated a two-day formation session, 25-26 June, for the Economers of all the communities of the Delegation in order to help them improve the management of assets and patrimony. Before the session, Fr Menamparampil visited several Salesian communities in AFC-EST, with the exception of that of Shasha due to the war situation that forced the Salesians to leave it and take refuge at Don Bosco Ngangi, in Goma. The visit ended on 27 June with a meeting with members of the AFC-EST Delegation's Planning and Development Office (PDO) team. During the meeting, Fr George Menamparampil shared tips and suggestions that could help the PDO to better support Salesian communities. Fr Carlos Balezi Kabumba, SDB Director of the Planning and Development Office of the AFC-EST, warmly thanked Fr Menamparampil for all the guidance provided to the Economers and the PDO team with a view to judicious management of the assets of the respective communities.

Shillong, India – June 2024 – In order for young people to increasingly play a role in civil society, the Don Bosco Youth Centre in Laitumkhrah, Shillong, began a new coaching programme on 24 June, which aims to prepare young people for competitive exams for entry into the world of work. The event began with a welcome song by Aidamesha Wankhar and continued with a speech of encouragement by Fr Michael Makri, Director of the Youth Centre. The main guest of the day, Ronnie Wahlang, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Forestry and Environment, was then welcomed, who stressed the importance of seizing the opportunities offered by the centre and promoting a competitive spirit among young people. The coaching programme promises to be a beacon of hope and learning for young people. The day then ended with the soul performance by Tia Vanessa Kurbah and with Fr  Makri's thanks for the presence of the many young people and supporters. 

Rosemead, United States – June 2024 – The Salesian Cooperators of the Salesian St Andrew the Apostle Province in the Western United States, were pleased to welcome the first promise of five new Salesian Cooperators: Eloise Moraza and Dolores Lerma, from the St Joseph's centre in Rosemead, Julio Segura, Adrianna Segura and Steven Herrera from the St Dominic Savio centre in Bellflower. The celebration was presided over by Fr Mel Trinidad, Superior of SUO Province, in the presence of Fr Nguyen Thien Anthony, Director of the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Rosemead. Howard Hamel and Dave Lerma,  coordinators of the St Dominic Savio and St Joseph's centres respectively, were also present for the occasion.
