(ANS - Nairobi) - At the "Don Bosco Youth Educational Services" (DBYES) in Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa Province (AFE), underway from Monday 4 to 9 March is the II seminar the Salesian Historians Association (ACSSA) have organized in the Africa-Madagascar region. The title of this assembly, attended by 21 specialists in the sector - 10 Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and 11 Salesians of Don Bosco - is: "In the footsteps of our pioneers in the Salesian mission."
(ANS - Cordoba) - Salesian presences do not go on holiday: every year, thousands of boys, girls and animators enjoy the summer doing formative and oratorial experiences in the various Salesian centers of the Salesian "Blessed Artemide Zatti" Province of Northern Argentina (ARN). The proposals are as varied as the tastes and needs of each community and each young person.
(ANS - Barcelona) - More than 80 representatives of Salesian houses and organizations reflected on Crisis Communication in the current scenario during the 5th Salesian Days of Communication. In this edition, held at the Martí-Codolar center in Barcelona, on 20 and 21 February, crisis situations were analyzed, how to prevent them and how to deal with them, taking into account the current state of society and the means of communication.
(ANS – Pilar) – The Meeting of the Don Bosco Development Offices of South Asia (PDO Meet), BOSCONET, was held at the Pilar Mission Seminary, Pilar, Goa, on the 11th February 2019. Sixteen members participated in the meeting which was represented by 12 PDOs from the South Asian network and the Economer's network (SAFE).
(ANS – Batulao) – Fr Ivo Coelho, together with the team of the RMG Formation Department (Francisco Santos Montero, Silvio Roggia), Jose Kuttianimattathil, the Regional Coordinators of Africa-Madagascar, Asia East-Oceania, Asia-South, Inter-America, America South Cone, Central and Northern Europe, Mediterranean (Iberica) and Mediterranean (Italy-MOR), and the coordinators of the regional centers for ongoing formation of DBRC Bangalore, SAFCAM Nairobi, CSFPA Quito had their world consulta meeting at Mary Help of Christians Center of Spirituality in Batulao, Nasugbu, Batangas, Philippines, of the Philippine North Province and the East Asia and Oceania Region from 16-20 February 2019.
(ANS – Sam Phran) – After five full days, February 10-14 at the Ban Than Praphon, Sam Phran (FMA Retreat House), the 4th EAO Salesian History Conference concluded in the late evening of February 14th with a shared evaluation, a truly Salesian Academy with colourful dances and songs from participants from 10 countries.
(ANS – Vienna) – From 4th to 9th February, Fr Thomas Pallithanam, Salesian representative to the United Nations in New York, has been visiting several European Institutions, both in Vienna and Brussels, guided by Don Bosco International, and hosted by the Provinces of Austria and Belgium South – France.
(ANS – Rome) – On 11 and 12 February, coordinated by Don Bosco Network with the support of Don Bosco International and Don Bosco – United Nations, the annual gathering of organizations dealing with advocacy and campaign with a Salesian approach has taken place for the sixth time.
(ANS - Sampran) - Six years after the third conference of the Salesian Historians Association, that is Associazione Cultori di Storia Salesiana (ACSSA), in the East Asia-Oceania region (Cebu, Philippines - November 2013), the Salesian Family historians of the 12 Provinces and Vice Provinces of said region are once again summoned together by the central directors of the association for a continental seminar on the "Significant Salesian figures of the XXth century in East Asia."
(ANS - Copacabana) - To guarantee the continuity of the initial Salesian formation in the post-novitiate phase, the Salesian Congregation's Dicastery has organized a formation seminar for the Directors of the formation communities and the Directors of the Salesian Study Centers of the Interamerica regions and America South Cone.
