Asunción, Paraguay - February 2018 - On February 17 and 18, the National Assembly of the Youth for Youth Movement took place, during which the new members of the national coordination team were elected for the period 2018-2019.

Alicante, Spain - February 2018 - On 17 and 18 February, in Alicante, over 300 young people from the Valencian Community, Murcia and Zaragoza, participated in the "Campobosco", a great experience of meeting with the essential elements of Salesian youth spirituality.

Zlín, Czech Republic - February 2018 - The Salesian community of Zlín, whose patrons are the martyr saints Louis Versiglia and Callisto Caravario, has installed a display window dedicated to these two saints in its restored cathedral. The encased painting, created by Pavlina Štefková, was blessed on 19 February by the Provincial of the Salesian Province of the Czech Republic, Fr Petr Vaculik. The image shows the river these missionaries sailed upon towards the mission station, where they were murdered by several bandits for defending the life and virtue of three Christian girls. At its center is a tabernacle, the source of water that rises to eternal life, as indicated by the Chinese characters on the right side of the window. This is part of the verse, from John 4:14, "(...) the water I will give him will become in him a source of water that wells up for eternal life."

Bujumbura, Burundi - February 18, 2018 - On February 18, the members of the various groups of the Salesian Family of Burundi's "Africa Great Lakes" Vice Province (AGL) gathered at Buterere for the Feast of the Rector Major's Strenna 2018: "Lord give me this water. We cultivate the art of listening and accompanying." Present, among others: the Delegation of Rwanda, led by Fr Raphaël Katanga, who animated the day of study and sharing of the Strenna 2018; Mr. Célestin Ndayizeye, Minister of Water, Development and Planning of the Territory, a past pupil of the Don Bosco Lyceum of Ngozi, who publicly expressed his personal gratitude for the education he had received as a young man.

Oud-Heverlee, Belgium - February 2018 - On 10 February at the Salesian house in Heverlee, 40 members of the Salesian Family gathered to study and reflect on the Rector Major's 2018 Strenna: "Lord, give me this water. We cultivate the art of listening and accompanying."

Kolkata, India - January 2018 - On January 30, in the presence of Mother Yvonne Reungoat, Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, 17 candidates made their promise as members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA), thus giving life to the first ADMA group of the Auxilium Dum Dum and Barasat. The Mass was presided over by Fr. John Puthiyedathuchalil, SDB, Delegate of ADMA for the Province of Kolkata (INC).
