Venice Mestre, Italy - May 2018 - The first edition of the Advanced University Course in "Educator of Youth Ministry", organized by the Salesian University Institute of Venice (IUSVE) in collaboration with the Salesian Youth Movement of the Triveneto, has ended. Consisting of 16 weekends of formation from October 2016 to May 2018, the course was aimed primarily at those who already play a role in planning and coordinating educational and / or evangelization activities for children, adolescents and young people. This first edition involved about 40 participants among lay people, religious, educators and operators involved in youth ministry and in educational, Salesian and ecclesial contexts.

Vatican City, Vatican - May 2018 – Ending the afternoon of May 17 was the last of the four meetings that Pope Francis held with the 34 Chilean bishops in the Paolo VI Hall. At the conclusion of this period of discernment and fraternal gathering, the Holy Father gave each of his brothers in the episcopate a letter. Among other things, the Pope thanked the bishops "for the full availability" demonstrated in "joining and collaborating in all those changes and resolutions that we will have to implement in the short-, medium- and long-term, necessary to restore justice and ecclesial communion."

Maputo, Mozambique - May 2018 - From 8 to 10 May there was a meeting of the Salesian Economers of the Mozambique Vice Province (MOZ), led by Fr José Angel Rajoy, MOZ Provincial Economer. The first two days were dedicated to formation regarding how to make plan monthly and annual budgets of the communities uniform, while on the last day, a procedure was presented to standardize the accounting procedures of the Salesian centers and houses, with the topic of wages and house maintenance also addressed.

Salta, Argentina - May 2018 - On 12 May, the second edition of the Marian walk called "Mariatón" was held, bringing together the Salesian centers of Salta: Ángel Zerda, Ceferino Namuncurá and María Auxiliadora-Laura Vicuña. The activity was carried out as part of the celebrations of the Marian month on the theme: "In our love for life we meet Mary." The pilgrimage went through the city to the historic field of the Cross where the animators of the Salesian Youth Movement and students played games and performed dances and songs.

Rome, Italy - May 2018 - From May 14 to 18, at Salesian Headquarters, the meeting of the new Provincial Economers takes place, with 16 participants from various countries of the world. The meeting aims to train and form the Provincial Economers to the challenges of management, transparency, the fight against corruption. The last directives of the Salesian Congregation and of the Church for the effective and responsible management of goods are also issues being studied. In this ever-changing world, adequate training on the subject becomes a guarantee of responsible and professional management of the material goods necessary for the Salesian mission.
