Hong Kong - September 2018 - On 29 September, the Office for Youth Ministry of Hong Kong organized a meeting for the beginning of the school year with the students of 10 schools of the Salesian Family. The theme of the day, in harmony with the pastoral theme of the new school year, was "Accompanying the young in their journey of encounter with the Lord and of vocational discernment". The 180 young participants were able to participate in sports, games and artistic activities and take part in the Eucharistic celebration.

Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Brazil - September 2018 - The Salesian Province of Brazil-Recife (BRE), through the Salesian Youth Ministry, organized, on September 29 and 30, a seminar on "Oratories-Youth Centers & Family". The meeting was held with the aim of giving continuity to the formation of the animators of the oratories and youth centers, ensuring their accompaniment to strengthen the experience of the Salesian charism in re-signifying or re-enhancing the role of the oratory and youth center as a pastoral response to the needs of today's adolescents and young people, and to highlight the importance of the family in the Pastoral Educational Project.

Mumbai, India - September 2018 - On September 22, a hundred students of the "Don Bosco High School" and of the "Junior College" of Borivli, together with the Director Fr Solomon Rapol, Dean Fr Flovi D'Souza, 15 teachers, some parents and 10 Past pupils of Don Bosco, spent the day cleaning the beach of Gorai. The activities are part of a program to raise awareness of the environment that students have been carrying out since July, including workshops on marine biodiversity, on the effects of plastic in the marine ecosystem; a first beach cleaning session took place on 1 September.

Budapest, Hungary - October 2018 - Part of the provincial house of the Salesians of Hungary (UNG), where Blessed Stephen Sandor lived, has returned into the possession of the spiritual Sons of Don Bosco. On October 1st, Mass was celebrated for the first time after 68 years by the Provincial of Hungary, Fr Béla Ábrahám, along with his council; at the end of the celebration there followed a meeting of the Provincial Council. Also participating was Fr. József Havasi who, as a Salesian aspirant, lived in the structure 70 years ago; later, during the period of communism he lived in Vienna; after the fall of the regime, he was UNG Provincial for 18 years, rebuilding the whole province from the ruins and welcoming the first missionaries of Europe.

Copacabana, Colombia - September 2018 - On September 24, the Provincial Councils of the Salesian Provinces "St Luigi Bertrando" (COM) and "St Pietro Claver" (COB) met to discuss issues of common interest and to foster networking, to promote the development and organization of processes and projects.

Krakow, Poland - October 2018 - On October 1, the inauguration ceremony of the academic-formative year of the Theologate of Krakow took place, attended by the
superiors of the Polish provinces, several FMA and Msgr. Enrico dal Covolo, Salesian, former Rector of the Lateran University, who presided at Mass. The inauguration of the 2018-2019 academic year, which took place in the context of the 100th anniversary of the presence of the Salesians in "Łosiówka" (Krakow Salesian Seminary), was also the occasion for the presentation of the "Mir" provincial prize. to two Salesian professors of the theologate community: Fr Jan Wilkołek, professor emeritus of Latin, and Fr Jan Krawiec, professor emeritus of Canon Law, for their great merits in the field of science, formation and historical work on Salesians in the Krakow Province (PLS). Then Fr Dariusz Kozłowski, Rector of the Seminary, presented the report regarding the last academic year, followed by the inaugural lecture by Msgr. Covolo on the theme "Theology as a challenge for the other sciences in a secularized Europe."
