Wau, South Sudan – January 2024 - The first meeting of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) at the Saint Josephine Bakhita Delegation of Sudan and South Sudan has taken place from 25 to 29 January at the Don Bosco VTC in Wau. The event brings 150 young people together for the first time  from all three Salesian missionary communities and the FMA: Don Bosco Kuajok, from Tonj and Wau. Fr Paul Antimi, SDB, Provincial Delegate of  Sudan and Fr Leo Arockianathan, SDB, Youth Ministry Delegate, opened the event. During the days, in addition to the various animation activities, the participants explored the theme of the Rector Major's Strenna 2024 ""The dream that makes you dream". A heart that transforms "wolves" into "lambs". In addition, other topics were discussed including: Mission of the SYM, Salesian Family, Young People in the Salesian Congregation and the role of young people in the family, in the Church and in society.

Bangkok, Thailand – January 2024 – On January 27, Salesians, members of the Salesian Family and many faithful gathered to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the foundation of the Don Bosco church in Bangkok. Cardinal Michael Michai Kitbunchu, Archbishop Emeritus of Bangkok, presided over the celebration, along with Fr Anthony Boonlert Paneetatthayasai, Superior of the Province of Thailand (THA). In the afternoon, the Salesian Family Day took place, led by Fr Dominic Savio Suphot Riungam, Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family. Those present, after watching the video of the Rector Major's Strenna 2024, were divided into groups to share ideas and reflections on the theme of the Day: "the DREAM THAT MAKES YOU DREAM". The afternoon activity ended with the solemn sending of Thai missionary Fr John Boonmee Charoonsakorn, a missionary to Africa. Everyone encouraged the new missionary, offering prayers that he might fulfill his mission of zealously announcing the Good News.

Chennai, India – January 2024 – The Don Bosco Theological Centre in Kavarapettai, Chennai, hosted a youth festival in recent days which brought together a total of 420 young people. The meeting, whose theme was "Learning the values of Christ in the lives of young people" and which recalled the atmosphere of the Valdocco Oratory, marked the beginning of the celebrations in honour of Don Bosco. The animation was significant, led by Fr Maria Sagayaraj, who motivated young people to reflect and faithfully observe the values of Christ, to become good young Christians and upright citizens. After the Mass and a moment of fraternal agape, the young people took the opportunity to showcase their multiple talents through the cultural program chaired by Fr John Christy Irudayam, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry. This youth festival proved to be a dynamic and transformative experience for all participants, fostering a deeper bond with the values of Christ.

Spain – January 2024 - An online meeting of the Salesian Family of Spain took place on 25 January  to shareimpressions of the Salesian Family Spirituality Days celebrated in Valdocco and to explore the theme of the Rector Major's Strenna 2024. About 100 people from all over Salesian Spain and from all groups met for two hours to learn about three of the experiences shared at the SFSD in Valdocco. Fr Rafael Bejarano, SDB, member of the Youth Ministry Sector, expressed his particular perpsective on how to make the members of the Salesian Family humble, strong and energetic in educational communities. Pepelu Aguirre presented "The Buzzetti program for homeless children", of the Don Bosco - Salesianos Social Foundation, highlighting how the project makes Don Bosco's Dream present in many young people. In addition, the "Essales" project was presented, which allows access to Salesian Spirituality resources in one click." There were also testimonies from participants at the SFSD and contributions from Fr Joan Lluís Playà, Delegate of the Rector Major for Salesian Family Secretariat and Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, Councillor for the Mediterranean Region.

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam – January 2024 – In the afternoon of 20 January, the Don Bosco Community in Xuan Hiep organized a Fair Day, a meeting between the young people of the parishes and the Salesian Community on the theme "The dream that makes us dream". About 710 people attended the event, including many young people and children. Opening the Fair Day was the Mass celebrated by Fr Barnaba Le An Phong, Superior of the Salesian Province of Vietnam (VIE). At the end, participants took part in games and activities and visited the different stands, including the "Laudato si" stand, which aimed at educating children about environmental protection. The Day was also enriched by a quiz game with questions about Don Bosco to introduce children to the life and charism of Don Bosco.

Panama City, Panama – January 2024 – The Association of Salesian Cooperators in Panama have organised a day of recollection under the theme: "With Don Bosco we are family", which took place at the Don Bosco Basilica in Panama City. The event, conceived as a preamble to the beginning of the Novena to St John Bosco, took place on Sunday, 21 January, under the direction of Salesians Miguel Toriz and Fr Manolo Pérez, both from the Salesian Centre for Ongoing Formation of America, based in Quito, Ecuador. The day of recollection, which was attended by members of various groups of the Salesian Family, leaders of the Salesian Youth Movement and leaders at the Oratory, took place in an atmosphere of joy and spirituality. In addition, there was a moment of recollection before Don Bosco's casket, with the participants called to reflect on the question: "How did Don Bosco find me?" The day also included other moments of reflection on Salesian identity, the Salesian Family and Mamma Margaret. Finally, after Eucharistic Adoration, the participants shared what the experience of this recollection day was like for them.
