Panama City, Panama – January 2024 – The Association of Salesian Cooperators in Panama have organised a day of recollection under the theme: "With Don Bosco we are family", which took place at the Don Bosco Basilica in Panama City. The event, conceived as a preamble to the beginning of the Novena to St John Bosco, took place on Sunday, 21 January, under the direction of Salesians Miguel Toriz and Fr Manolo Pérez, both from the Salesian Centre for Ongoing Formation of America, based in Quito, Ecuador. The day of recollection, which was attended by members of various groups of the Salesian Family, leaders of the Salesian Youth Movement and leaders at the Oratory, took place in an atmosphere of joy and spirituality. In addition, there was a moment of recollection before Don Bosco's casket, with the participants called to reflect on the question: "How did Don Bosco find me?" The day also included other moments of reflection on Salesian identity, the Salesian Family and Mamma Margaret. Finally, after Eucharistic Adoration, the participants shared what the experience of this recollection day was like for them.
