Puebla, Mexico – May 2024 - Saturday, 25 May, the San Miguel Arcángel Community – whose headquarters is the former Aspirant, Prenovitiate, Teaching College and Higher School of the Juan Ponce de León Institute, in the city of Puebla – was the setting in which the members of the different groups of the local Salesian Family (SF) happily celebrated the long-awaited feast of Mary Help of Christians, which was celebrated joyfully throughout Mexico and the world on 24 May. They were called together by Fr Juan Aarón Cerezo Huerta, Delegate for the Salesian Family in the Salesian Province of Mexico City (MEM) and Rector of the San Miguel Community, who coordinated the day of activity in honour of Don Bosco's Madonna.

Burgos, Spain – May 2024 – The Salesians at the Padre Aramburu centre in Burgos received second prize for their participation in the 17th "Pastoral Innovation and Experimentation Award", with the "Morning Podcast on Radio Buru" experience. The event, in which the Salesians were ranked second, is organised every year by the Escuelas Católicos organisation, with the sponsorship of the Edelvives publishing house. On Monday, 27 May Leandro Rodán, Regional Secretary of Escuelas Católicos, Eugenio Rey, Pastoral Coordinator of the same organisation, and Nacho Carnicero, representing the Edelvives Foundation, visited the Salesian school in Burgos. They also presented a commemorative plaque and a cash prize, to be used to continue investing in pastoral innovation.

La Crau, France – May 2024 – The Feast of Mary Help of Christians at the Salesian La Navarre work had a special meaning this year, since the 140th anniversary of the blessing of the Chapel of the work by Don Bosco himself, who visited it during a stay in France, was celebrated on the same day. The celebration was presided over by Bishop François Marie Pierre Touvet, Coadjutor Bishop of Fréjus-Toulon, who in the homily invited those present to become "builders of fraternity". Also present for the occasion was the Fr Jean-Marie Petitclerc, President of the "La Navarre Foundation", who opened the day by explaining the Dream at Nine Years  of age and recounting the arrival of Don Bosco in this house, on 24 May 1884.

Ayagualo, El Salvador - May 2024 – The Provincial Chapter of the Salesians from the Divine Saviour Province of Central America (CAM)is being held from 27 May to1  June, focused on "Passionate about Jesus Christ, dedicated to young people". The Chapter began on Monday 27 May, with the Eucharist celebrated by Fr Walter Jara, Extraordinary Visitor, who concluded his visitation on the same day. The opening session was chaired by Fr Julio Navarro, CAM Provincial, and Fr Juan Gabriel Romero, Moderator. In his opening message Fr Navarro quoted the words of the Rector Major: "Today our world, the Church and young people together with their families need us as yesterday to continue living a path of fidelity to the Lord Jesus, they need us as significant and courageously prophetic people. Jesus' mission continues and becomes visible through us today.” Finally, he invited the participants to maintain an attitude of faith, synodality and unity. The Provincial Chapter aims to offer valuable contributions to the 29th General Chapter (GC29) that will take place in Valdocco in 2025. The participants in the Provincial Chapter are working on the three core areas proposed by GC29 to explore and reflect on the animation and governance of the Congregation, seeking to strengthen ties with the laity and the Salesian Family, and continue to work together for the well-being and future of young people. The 43 Chapter members will reflect and work throughout the week to comply with the program proposed by the Moderator.

Kobylanka, Poland – May 2024 - The priestly ordination of the Salesian deacon Grzegorz Bujałkowski from the Province of Piła (PLN) took place on Saturday, 25 May at the shrine of Blessed Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński in Kobylanka. The heart of the ordination liturgy was the moment of the laying on of hands and the consecratory prayer by Bishop Henryk Wejman, Auxiliary Bishop of Szczecin-Kamień. In addition to family, friends and young people, the ceremony was attended by numerous Salesians from the Province, led by the Provincial Fr Tadeusz Itrych. "Do not be afraid, because the Lord is with you," said the Provincial to the new priest, who will serve in the Blessed Virgin Mary Help of Christians community in Rumia.

Cabana, Argentina – May 2024 - The 5th Provincial Chapter of the Salesian Province of Northern Argentina (ARN) has begun, involving more than 40 Salesians. The event is taking place in Cabana, in the Province of Córdoba, and will last until next Friday, 31 May. Under the motto "Passionate about Jesus Christ, dedicated to young people", the consecrated Salesians are addressing two main themes during the work: the revision of the preparatory texts for the 29th General Chapter, and the election of the Provincial Delegate who will represent the ARN Province. On the opening day, Fr Horacio Barbieri, Provincial of ARN, welcomed the Chapter members, expressing the wish that this meeting be a valuable opportunity for fraternity and common reflection.
