(ANS - Rome) - "The education received in the past cannot be just a memory, but must become a force that stimulates the influence of the Past Pupils in the world, so that they can transform it and make it more human." So said the Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime to the Past Pupils of Don Bosco. "There are about 100,000 members worldwide. They are lay people who have taken on responsibly their task in the Church and in society, becoming light of the world and salt of the earth" says Fr José Pastor Ramírez, World Delegate for the Past Pupils.
(ANS - Freetown) - On the evening of Sunday 31 January, the Rector Major met the Salesian Cooperators and the Past Pupils of Don Bosco, and spoke of his joy at the celebration of the Eucharist that morning. Yesterday, Monday 1 February, the Rector Major went to the beach with the Confreres from Sierra Leone and held a dialogue with them.
(ANS – Long Beach) – On Wednesday, January 27, St. John Bosco High School students visited Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Students are part of the Biomedical Pathway at St. John Bosco High School. During their course of study, students gain exposure to many of the major concepts of human medicine and aspire to pursue higher education leading to a career in health care.
