Spain - The Salesian Family meets to share the experience of the 2025 Spirituality Days
Spain – January 2025 - A large number of people from the different groups of the Salesian Family of the three Provinces of Spain (SDB and FMA) met in the afternoon of Thursday 23 January, in a virtual meeting to share what they had experienced during the 43rd Salesian Family Spirituality Days. "The purpose of this meeting is to relive together the impressions, experiences, reflections and moments of prayer and communion of these Days", the delegates of the Salesian Family, José Antonio Hernández, Luis Fernando Álvarez and Isabel Pérez said in their appeal for this meeting in which they shared the most touching aspects of an experience that brought together more than 300 participants in Italy. The more than 100 participants had the opportunity to discuss the theme of the Strenna of the Vicar of the Rector Major "Anchored in hope, pilgrims with young people" and to share conclusions and challenges deriving from their experience. The meeting began with a welcome from Luis Fernando Álvarez. Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, Councillor for the Mediterranean Region, Fr Joan Lluís Playà, SDB, Central Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family Secretariat, then brought greetings from Rome. A highlight of the meeting was when Cardinal Cristóbal López, Archbishop of Rabat, spoke of “Missionary Expeditions of Yesterday: Apostles on Mission Today.” Then there was time for the testimonies of three people of their experience at SFSDS2025. Pablo Osorio spoke of what was expressed by the young people at the Conference, as well as what the young people of the SYM are asking of the Salesian Family after the Synod.
