(ANS - Pracharbon) - Spiritual exercises for three groups of families from the primary ADMA of Turin-Valdocco took place in the first three weeks of August in Prarcharbon, Val d'Ayas - Valle d'Aosta region.
(ANS - Nova Xavantina) - The territory inhabited by the Xavante of Mato Grosso, Brazil, is hilly with large highland plateaus. The flora consists of tropical forest and wormwood, the savanna with low-pitched plants. This natural environment is their "cosmic house", part of the same intimate life, and inspiration of ritual and religious symbolism. Seasonal rhythms mark collective life, both in hunting and harvesting, in terms of nutrition, ritual and religious life, and migrations.
(ANS –Tokyo ) - 19 August 2017 - Archbishop Savio Hon Tai Fai SDB, Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples visited Japan from 12th to 19th August, 2017. The main purpose of his visit was to participate in the “2nd Papa Francesco Volunteer Service Camp” being held in Nagasaki since 16th August.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Dear friends and readers, members of the Salesian Family, for this month's greeting in the Salesian Bulletin I will focus on a very important event that the Salesian Congregation is holding presently: General Chapter XXIX. This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
