(ANS - Cumbayá) - The Salesian Family Missionary Youth Volunteering Project – Ecuador - was established in 1972 with just two young people at the Mary Help of Christians in Cuenca. It was the starting point for this social care initiative which grew year after year, connecting young people who unselfishly gave a year of their lives to helping society's more vulnerable people.
(ANS - Rome) - Today, more than ever, the issue of migrants is at the center of media attention, inviting us to serious and deep reflection. For many young people from Sub-Saharan Africa, leaving means seeking a better life, fleeing from a destiny of misery and poverty, and often from wars and persecutions.
(ANS - Poznan) - On 1 September 1939, Hitler invaded Poland, commencing the Second World War. The Salesian House in Poznan on Wroniecka Street was occupied and transformed by German soldiers into a warehouse. Young people, however, continued to gather in the out-of-town gardens and nearby forests.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Dear friends and readers, members of the Salesian Family, for this month's greeting in the Salesian Bulletin I will focus on a very important event that the Salesian Congregation is holding presently: General Chapter XXIX. This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
