Rome, Italy - June 2024 - On Monday 24 June, the traditional Feast of Thanksgiving for Don Bosco and his Successors at the head of the Salesian Congregation was renewed for the 154th time. The Feast of Thanksgiving 2024 had its own evident special features that made it even more special than usual: first of all, it was once again celebrated in Rome, after the two years of celebrations in Turin. Secondly, and even more so, because it represented the last Thanksgiving Feast for Ángel Fernández Artime, 10th Successor of Don Bosco, Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation since March 2014 and created Cardinal in September 2023. He will receive a new appointment from the Holy Father Francis next August. Several Sons of Don Bosco of the community, who are celebrating their respective jubilee anniversaries this year, were also honoured.
Rome, Italy – June 2024 - On 22 June, at the Santa Maria della Speranza parish, nine Salesians of the Zeffirino Namuncurá International Community were ordained deacons by Bishop Daniele Salera, Auxiliary Bishop of Rome, Northern Sector. The atmosphere of familiarity and fraternity which characterised the feast, was enriched by the presence of families of origin, friends, parish priests, and young people from the places of apostolate, Salesians, academic authorities of the UPS and members of the General Council, such as the General Councillor for Formation and the Regional Councillors of Interamerica, America South Cone and East Asia-Oceania. Having parents from Timor Leste, Poland, Panama, Brazil plus other relatives and friends from Indonesia, Burundi, Rwanda made one feel the breadth of the universal Church and also the breadth and variety of the presence of the Salesian Congregation.

Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy – June 2024 - From 12 June, an animation proposal entitled: "A Day with Don Bosco" began at Colle Don Bosco. There are 29 groups that have so far been booked to participate in this programme, organized in the months of June and July. This year, celebrating the Bicentennial of Don Bosco's Childhood Dream (1824-2024), the chosen theme for the animation was "Dare to Dream". The organisation of the programme involves novices, Salesian theology students from Rome-Bufalotta and Messina, along with some local young people and Salesians from the Colle Don Bosco community. The programme includes a moment of welcome in the newly renovated theatre, the reception of the groups and the presentation of the theme of the year "Dare to Dream" through a skit and a moment of prayer. The young people are guided in their visit to the birthplace of Don Bosco and are helped to reflect on the theme of the dream through some games. The animation of "A Day with Don Bosco" is a way of walking with young people, helping them to reflect on their dreams and the dream they must cultivate in their lives by looking at the example of Don Bosco, seeking the help of Jesus and Mary.

RMG - St. Francis de Sales Communicator: All for Love
(ANS – Rome) - The figure of St. Francis de Sales, chosen by Don Bosco as an example of a communicator, teaches that communication is a matter of the heart. In his expression, "Everything in the Church is love: everything lives in love, for love, and of love," we understand his revolution in the way of communicating, and how communication becomes fruitful when it allows communion and the exchange of one's experiences in a path of accompaniment and collaboration in God's project.
