Hello.

My name is Rand Mittri. I am 26 years old, and I am a graduate of the College of Natural Science in Syria. I am currently working on a master’s degree at the University of Aleppo, also in Syria. I am with the Salesian Don Bosco Center in Aleppo. As you may know, our city has been destroyed, ruined, and broken. The meaning in our lives has been canceled. We are the forgotten city.

(ANS - Aleppo) - The Salesians in Aleppo, together with the local churches and about 30 associations and scout groups, have organized World Youth Day on 29 and 30 July, to coincide with World Youth Day in Krakow.  World Youth Day in Aleppo is entitled "Move the heart" and about 1200 young people are expected to attend.

(ANS - Medellin) - Colombia is "the only country of America with child soldiers," wrote El Heraldo. In a Sputniknews report it states very clearly: "child soldiers: the hidden scourge that afflicts Colombia." For the Salesians in fact it was indeed a scourge, because these children are the people they work for and the reason for their vocation.
