SPECIAL REPORTS

(ANS - Rome) - "Default" Christianity, as a cultural context, does not belong to the present of young people in Europe. The Church is aware of it and wishes to meet them in the reality of this context.

(ANS - Caracas) - Lowered shutters, empty shelves, deserted supermarkets ... Interminable queues to buy bread, soap, medicine, those basic necessities that have now become a luxury for almost the entire population. The socio-economic crisis in Venezuela has also become a dire food and humanitarian crisis.

(ANS - Madrid) - Catholic-inspired education is one of the Church's most important activities in Spain. And it is also one of the activities that brings more economic benefits to society. This is attested by a study on the impact of the Church's educational activity presented by the Office for Transparency of the Spanish Episcopal Conference at the "Santo Domingo Savio" Salesian Institute in Madrid.

(ANS - Rome) – Each year, on May 25, Africa Day is celebrated to commemorate the foundation of the Organization of African Unity (OUA). It is also an important and meaningful date for Salesians, given the presence of hundreds of Salesians working on the continent. According to data, "Africa is growing in Salesian vocations at an accelerated pace compared to the other regions of the Salesian world. It could be considered as the youngest part of the Congregation," explained Fr Silvio Roggia, SDB, of the Dicastery for Formation. "This reality offers possibilities of service in favor of children and young people."
