(ANS - Rome) - Clarifying ideas on discernment of the two forms of consecrated Salesian life, with the dual purpose of helping the formators to present correctly the Salesian identity, and to accompany the young in the process of vocational orientation: this was the objective that the Dicastery for Formation pursued through the Seminar on the Discernment of the two forms of the Salesian vocation, organized in recent weeks at the "San Callisto" in Rome. From these reflections many ideas emerged, now being transmitted to the entire Congregation.

(ANS - Milan) - Among the four decrees that Pope Francis authorized to promulgate yesterday, 5 July, there is also one concerning the heroic virtues of Carlo Acutis, (London, 3 May 1991 - Monza, 12 October 2006), a teenager of our time, similar to many others: busy at school, among friends, a computer enthusiast. At the same time he was a great friend of Jesus and entrusted to the Virgin Mary. Reading his biography we can appreciate the perennial validity of Don Bosco's pedagogical intuitions.

(ANS - Rome) - A few weeks after the Study Seminar on Salesian Meditation (Rome - San Callisto, 10-12 May), the Formation Department returns to re-examine the meaning of that event and the steps to be taken to rediscover and live an element of Salesian spirituality that Don Bosco and his Successors have always indicated as fundamental, vital.
