(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins humanitarian organizations and the international community in honoring Human Rights Day, celebrated each year on December 10. Human Rights Day commemorates the day in 1948 when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
(ANS - Madrid) - Theater, music, and all their different forms of fusion and admixture are a long-standing tradition in the Salesian works of Spain: older Salesians still recall with pleasure the legendary performances of zarzuelas and sainetes from the Salesian Gallery, adaptations of classic operas to casts of only boys. "La estatua de Pablo Anchoa" or "Sindo, el Tonto" were resounding successes.

Since its inception in 1945, the United Nations has outlined and reiterated its commitment to calling for the creation of inclusive, accessible, and sustainable societies and communities. In 1981, the U.N. proclaimed Dec. 3 as a recognized day for the celebration of the achievements of people living with disabilities across the world.
(ANS - Rome) - The publication of the series of articles by Fr. Gildasio Mendes, General Councilor for Social Communication - on the theme "Educating and Evangelizing Today in the Digital Habitat. Together with young people, toward the future" - continues. Today the fourth article is being presented, which aims to open a window on our view of the digital in the context of vast technological transformations.
