(ANS - Washington) - The Salesian Mission Office in New Rochelle has been included in a special project by the American post office at the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum.  Through a physical exhibition and a collection of available data online, the project traces the history of the collaboration between the postal service of the United States and private industry, to the benefit of communications and the affairs of the nation.

(ANS - San Fernando) - The Salesians in Peru through the Fundación Don Bosco have inaugurated the "Yankuam Jintia" Training Centre for Intercultural Education. It is located at Loreto among the Kandozi Indigenous Community in San Fernando in the District of Andoas. This is a Salesian work that serves the needy of the Peruvian Amazon.

(ANS - Venilale) - According to recent research, only 58% of the citizens of East Timor are literate and the illiteracy rate is much higher among women. This situation is the result of negligence in the field of education, for example, the insufficient number of schools.
