(ANS - Al Fidar) – On the evening of Wednesday, 10 July, during a solemn ceremony held at the football field belonging to the Don Bosco Technique technical high school in Al Fidar, Jbeil-Biblo, diplomas were distributed to 135 students: 83 completed their technical studies, while the other 52 obtained their postgraduate specialisation diploma (Technicien supérieur, in French).

(ANS – Freetown) – More so than almost any other place on Earth, youth in Sierra Leone struggle to survive because of the consequences of abject poverty. Yet amid overwhelming adversity, there’s hope for something better and it starts at Don Bosco Fambul.

(ANS - Brasilia) – On 8 July, the Executive Director of the Salesian Network Brazil (RSB), Sister Silvia Aparecida da Silva, attended an important meeting with the head of the Special Office for Education and Culture of the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship, Professor Letícia Cesarino. On the agenda of the meeting was the contribution that the RSB can make to the updating of the National Plan for Human Rights Education of the Federal Government, especially because it is present throughout Brazil, working effectively in the areas of basic education and in guaranteeing the human rights of children, adolescents and young people.

(ANS – Trieste) – The Italian Catholics Social Weeks in Trieste also involved the National Salesian Works Centre, with the president Fr Elio Cesari, the president of Salesians for Social, Fr Francesco Preite, and the  Director General of CNOS-FAP, Fr Giuliano Giacomazzi.

(ANS) – The summer camps of the"Path to Education to the Faith" (IEF in Spanish)  which served as preparation for the camps organised by the Youth Ministry Delegations, involved thousands of young people in this Salesian Summer. In particular, during the last weekend of June, meetings were held for the IEF camps in Spain's Mary Help of Christians Province (SMX), in Campano; while in the previous days the preparatory meetings in Spain's Saint James the Greater Province (SSM) had been held in Bilbao and Lugo.

(ANS – Cape Town) – The Salesian Institute for Youth Projects (SIYP) is excited to invite the community of Cape Town to participate in the long-awaited “Mandela Day” event, which will take place on 18 July. This is an important event that aims to honour the extraordinary legacy of Nelson Mandela and to propose a positive change in the lives of the most vulnerable young people.
