Nairobi, Kenya - July 2016 - On 4 July five weeks of intense training in "Communications and media skills for young people and social work" began at "Don Bosco YES". The course is organized by the "Bosco Eastern Africa Multimedia services" (BEAMS), and the Department of Social Communication of the Province of East Africa (AFE). It has five modules of 30 hours and 23 college students are taking part: priests, religious and lay people.
Rosario, Argentina - July 2016 – As part of the project "Guardians of Education", the Salesian House in San Jose, has received in recent months a new Peugeot 408 car from Peugeot Argentina SA and Peugeot Prost SA. With this new vehicle the automobile workshop can give the students professional training that is keeping up with the times.
(ANS -Minsk) - July 8, 2016 - The Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime SDB, along with Fr Tadeusz Rozmus Regional Councillor for Central and North Europe and Fr Horacio Adrián López personal secretary to the Rector Major arrived in Minsk, Belarus in the evening on Friday, July 8, 2016. The delegation headed by Rt. Rev. Aliaksandr Yasheuski, SDB Auxiliary Bishop of Minsk-Mohilev, Fr Andrzej Wujek Provincial of Warsaw Province and Fr Viktar Hajdukevich the Rector of Barauliany Salesian Community received the Rector Major at the airport. Bishop Aliaksandr on his own behalf, on behalf of Rt. Rev. Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz Archbishop of Minsk-Mohilev and on behalf of the Catholic Church in Belarus greeted Fr Ángel. The Rector Major in turn, expressed great joy and thanked everyone and said that the Belarusian Salesian family although a small unit is very much alive.
