Machakos, Kenya - October 2016 - On 2 October the Salesian House of Don Bosco Nzaikoni in the province of East Africa (AFE) celebrated the 25th anniversary of its foundation. Bishop Anthony Muheria celebrated a Mass of thanksgiving during which 653 children and adults received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Brothers and priests who worked in Don Bosco Nzaikoni over the 25 years were honoured. Among those present was Fr Thomas Puncha, founder of the parish.

Bratislava, Slovakia - September 2016 - On 29 September there was a meeting of the Provincial Delegates for Missionary Animation of the Salesian Provinces of Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, with the team of the Department for the Missions. The meeting had the objective of sharing experience and best practice on volunteering and missionary animation in the Provinces.
